It will take a man laying down his life for his wife to cause her to submit. This is also the heart that Pastors should have towards the flock this is how they should love the flock. However, men are meant to love their wives until they submit because this is how Jesus loved the church until she can submit. Men tend to prefer to see their wives submitting to them more than them loving their wives. Much is expected of the husband because he is meant to do more. The commandment of the wife submitting to the husband may seem difficult but the command to the husband to love the wife as Christ loved the church, is a higher demand (Eph. One thing that prevents homes from standing is the love for this world. The focus of both parties in the marital union should be to attain the salvation of their souls.
